Description
I chose to become a doctor because I wanted to help people who couldn’t help themselves. I was especially inspired by the Doctors Without Borders who were bringing aid and famine relief to my home country in Kenya. My philosophy of care is based on altruism. I believe that service work can provide healing and nourishment for not only the patient, but also for the healthcare provider. When I am not at work, I like playing soccer, hiking, spending time in nature, reading, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. I recently also started going to the gym and kind of enjoy it.
